Special holiday show and only Chicago appearance!
The Sweethearts of the Yellow Room are a trio of three of the best female songwriters in the Midwest. Annie Capps, Kitty Donohoe and Jan Krist are founding and current members of the noted Ann Arbor-based songwriting collective, The Yellow Room Gang. All three are active on their own as solo performers and members of other musical ensembles.
Two Kerrville New Folk Finalists and an Emmy winner – together they are a folk supergroup, fine vocalists and musicians, melding diverse styles (folky, funky, Celtic, with original songs ranging from heart-meltingly tender to fall-off-your-seat funny.

“Annie and Rod Capps write complex, winding melodies that fit Annie’s delicate voice perfectly. She sings with a relaxed, clean Midwestern twang, sliding you into the middle of lives and situations that are always interesting and dotted with real insight.”
